Strawberry Ice-Cream Bread



I was introduced to this incredible two ingredients quick and easy to make bread recipe recently, Strawberry Ice Cream Bread. You can use any of your favorite ice cream flavors, mix with flour, and bake. That's all to it. It's a fantastic bread recipe and incidentally, it tastes very good when chilled too.

Strawberry Ice-Cream Bread/2 Ingredients Quick Bread

Ingredients

500 ml Strawberry Ice Cream, softened
1 ½ Cups Self-Rising Flour

Method

Preheat the oven to 350˚F

Mix the softened ice cream with flour. Transfer to a greased loaf pan and bake in the oven for about 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

  4. Wow.... This sounds very interesting! I have never heard of anything like this. I actually have some self raising flour that has been sitting in the cupboard for a while. I am going to make this next week! I can't wait to see what it tastes like.

  5. Ice cream is so yummy but at the same time so unhealthy. I've found a couple ways to make it that are healthier but it's so time consuming then. This bread sounds great and I can't wait to try it. It's got a small enough quantity of ice cream that it's not terribly unhealthy but it has enough for that great flavor.

Hasselback Potatoes

Ingredients

6 Medium Size Potatoes
2 - 3 Cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
30 g Butter
Maldon Sea Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Method

Preheat the oven to 220˚C (425˚F). Put the potato on a chopping board, flat side down. Start from one end of the potato, cut almost all the way through, at about 3 to 4 mm intervals.

Arrange the potatoes in a baking tray and insert the garlic in between the slits. Scatter some butter on top of each potato. Then drizzle the olive oil and sprinkle some sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Bake the potatoes for about 40 min…

Dumplings

I'm actually laughing at myself! What have I got into? Trying to make dumplings?? Well, I have seen my late grandmother make them a long time ago. I can remember the ingredients but not the measurements! So, it took me about two hours to come up with the perfect recipes, and I'm glad I did! It was an instant hit! They were all gone, all gobbled up!

Make the dough first, add about 480 to 500g of all-purpose flour with 300ml of water. Knead the dough and let it rest. You should be able to make 40 dumplings with the dough. Meanwhile, prepare the filling for the dumplings. Click here for the dumpling wrappers video.
