I have made a big pan of Paella for dinner. It’s a great one-pot dish. I have cooked the Paella with some clams, prawns, mussels and chicken. They were delicious and so satisfying.

5 Tbsp Olive Oil
400g Chicken Breast, cut into bite size
1 medium White Onion, chopped
5 cloves Garlic, chopped
1 Red Pimiento, cut into strips
1 Green Pepper, cut into strips
1 Dried Bay Leaf
1 Tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced
350g Prawns
200g Mussels
350g Clams
1 cup Frozen Peas
1 cup White Wine
3 1/2 cup Chicken Stock
2 1/2 Cups Medium grain rice
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 tsp Saffron
Lemon Wedges
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Sea Salt to taste

Heat the oil in a large Paella pan, brown the chicken breast and set aside.

With the remaining oil, add the chopped onions and saute for about 5 minutes and add the garlic.

Add the chopped tomatoes, bay leaf, green peppers and red pimiento strips and saute for another 5 minutes. Then add the chicken stock and white wine. Bring it to a boil.

Add the rice, chicken breast, frozen peas, saffron, paprika, freshly ground black pepper and sea salt. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Then add the prawns, mussels and clams. Reduce the heat and cook until all the clams and mussels are open and the rice is nearly tender.

Remove from the heat and leave it to stand for 10 minutes. Serve the Paella rice with some lemon wedges.

  1. This looks tasty! Wonderful for a spring or summer dinner!

  2. Just passed by and couldn't miss out your recipe...
I'm a spanish from Valencia, the cradle of paella...and I should say that's not paella...maybe from where you are It's called like this... but real paella doesn't put meat and fish all togheter... and doesn't have peas...

Anyway... some time ago I tried something done like your recipe and wasn't bad... so, i'm not saying this could be dusgusting, au contraire, maybe delicious...

    Our traditional recipe has:
    -green beans in the peel
    -crushed tomato

Try it; it's simple and tasty.

I'm actually laughing at myself! What have I got into? Trying to make dumplings?? Well, I have seen my late grandmother make them a long time ago. I can remember the ingredients but not the measurements! So, it took me about two hours to come up with the perfect recipes, and I'm glad I did! It was an instant hit! They were all gone, all gobbled up! Make the dough first, add about 480 to 500g of all-purpose flour with 300ml of water. Knead the dough and let it rest. You should be able to make 40 dumplings with the dough. Meanwhile, prepare the filling for the dumplings. Click here for the dumpling wrappers video.
