Recipe adapted from Vij's Elegant And Inspired Indian Cuisine

Marinated Lamb Popsicles With Fenugreek Cream Curry

¼ Cup Sweet White Wine
¾ Cup Grainy Yellow Mustard
1 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
4 lbs French-Cut Racks of Lamb, in chops

Curry Sauce
4 Cups Whipping Cream
1 Tbsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Paprika
½ tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
1 Tbsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves
¼ Cup Lemon Juice
3 to 4 Tbsp Canola Oil
3 Tbsp Finely Chopped Garlic
1 tsp Turmeric

Combine wine, mustard, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add lamb and coat well with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap ad refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.

In a large bowl, combine cream, salt, paprika, cayenne, fenugreek leaves and lemon juice. Heat 3 to 4 Tbsp of the oil in a medium pot on medium heat and sauté garlic until golden. Stir in turmeric and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the cream mixture and cook on low to medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until it is gently boiling.

Preheat a stove-top cast iron grill or barbeque to high heat. Place lamb on the grill and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Serve popsicles piping hot off grill. Depending on their size, place 4 to 5 lamb popsicles on each plate. Pout the cream curry over the meat or ladle it into a small bowl and use it as a dipping sauce for the popsicles.

  1. Mmmm....delicious. I love the colour of that curry. Curry makes my world go round :D

  2. That is too good. Love lamb chops but hard to find it here. I have the same comment as Mary. Curry makes my world go round as well. :)

  3. Perfect for Spring bbq party! I bookmarked this as I know I'm going to make this for sure in one of our bbq get-together with friends. That Fenugreek Cream Curry sauce sounds interesting. I prefer to just dip the lambs popsies in it rather than pour the thing over. Good work!

I'm actually laughing at myself! What have I got into? Trying to make dumplings?? Well, I have seen my late grandmother make them a long time ago. I can remember the ingredients but not the measurements! So, it took me about two hours to come up with the perfect recipes, and I'm glad I did! It was an instant hit! They were all gone, all gobbled up! Make the dough first, add about 480 to 500g of all-purpose flour with 300ml of water. Knead the dough and let it rest. You should be able to make 40 dumplings with the dough. Meanwhile, prepare the filling for the dumplings. Click here for the dumpling wrappers video.
